The PlayStation Showcase 2021 happened this past Thursday, as Sony and gave us our first look Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Marvel’s Wolverine, the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, God of War Ragnarok, and much more coming to the PS4 and PS5 now and in the future.

Of course, seeing as some folks are truly never satisfied, some crazy rumors are already brewing claiming that Sony is bringing back the PlayStation Experience moniker to hold an event this upcoming December:

  • This is almost seems like a hodgepodge of recent rumors and information.
  • The ‘PlayStation Experience’ title comes from a renewal of the copyright for the name/event.
  • The WipEout rumor came from our pal Nick. Claiming it will be a PS5/PSVR 2 hybrid title courtesy of Sony’s XDEV and outside studio.
  • The same leaker who has leaked this news also leaked the news about this new ‘AAA, Japanese PlayStation Studio‘ that’s supposedly being assembled.
  • The PSVR 2 will be formally unveiled along with major titles for it such as Astro Bot 2 and a new WipEout.
