Interview with Kako, Production Designer, and Creative Director at Arvore

_______________________________________________

Welcome to The PlayStation Brahs. Can you please introduce yourself and what you do at ARVORE?

“Thank you for having me. My name is Kako and I’m a Production Designer and Creative Director at Arvore.”

ARVORE has been responsible for some quality VR games such as The Line, the Pixel Ripped Series, and now your newest game, YUKI. What can you tell us about the game?

“That’s very kind of you to say, thank you. YUKI is our newest release and it will bring to the table a mix of bullet hell and roguelike genres. It is a pick-up and play game that builds up to a very challenging experience, allowing both casual and experienced players to enjoy it. And It is the first game that we plan to have constant content expansions. We are actually working on an Endless Mode that we plan to release as a free content update soon.”

How many levels will be in the game and what can you tell us about the evil forces the player will come up against?

“Enough to make you sweat, my friend!

Players will impersonate a kid playing with her favorite action figure from her favorite anime. You’ll hold it tight in your hands and take it for a ride in a very unusual universe, a wonderful place imagined by this kid. You know, we’ve all been there, we all held a spaceship or any other toy in our hands and started running around the block imagining it flying through the air. You will help Yuki fight against Yokaliens which are corrupting the universe and stealing all the creative power from the Star Flowers that once shone brightly in the garden sky! (ENTER DRAMATIC MUSIC!)”

Do we have a release date when the game will be coming to PlayStation VR?

“We are working hard to deliver the PSVR version. YUKI will be available to the Playstation platform later this year.”

I really want to thank Kako for taking time out of their day and for giving us a closer look at YUKI.
