As mentioned earlier, there are a few notable surprises worth discussing. First off, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut continues to show strong legs for Sucker Punch and Insomniac. Which, isn’t necessarily a surprise as both Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima have consistently remained sought after even months removed from their initial release.
Deathloop from Arkane Lyon had a strong debut in both the US/Canada and the EU, ranking 2 and 4 respectively. However, Kena: Bridge of Spirits has to be the feel-good story for the month of September. Ember Lab’s first outing in game development ranked #3 in the US/Canada while in the EU, the game was the most downloaded title for the month. Knowing the game ranked so highly despite releasing in a fairly crowded month shows gamers really wanted to support the game and has to be encouraging for a team who has just released their first game.
