The first major show coming from PlayStation Productions is their collaboration with HBO on The Last of Us project which has being filmed in Alberta, Canada.
HBO has big, big plans and now we have a clue of how big this project is going to be thanks to IATSE 212 President Damian Petti. He talked in an interview with CTV about how the “monster” of a project will help the economy of Alberta.
The Last of Us which commences photography this week is indeed a monster. It has five art directors and employs an army of hundreds of technicians. It has had six months of prep and shoots (in Alberta) for 12 months.
I cannot confirm the official budget numbers but will say it is likely the largest project shooting in Canada.
Oh yeah, Brah. If Sony really is working on that rumored The Last of Us Remake, you know that they would definitely love to have it ready for release when this HBO’s The Last of Us arrives on HBO MAX in the future.
