Insomniac Games announced today a plethora of new details for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. All of which, spearheaded by a new gameplay trailer, deluxe edition details and of course, Rivet. Coincidentally, when we believed to have seen the last of new info during the day, Insomniac also revealed the voice actor playing Rivet in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

As mentioned, Insomniac Games have revealed Rivet as the name of the mysterious female lombax. A character who remained under wraps and teased since June. While subtle hints came about, fans took this challenge upon themselves to figure out her name. Some actually managed to successfully do so, yet confirmation still goes a long way.
With the secret finally out, Insomniac has also revealed who actually voices Rivet. Once the team had further detailed what players receive with Digital Deluxe editions, Insomniac followed with another tweet. This one, unveiling that, renown actor Jennifer Hale will take on the role of Rivet.
Hale is ingrained into the minds of many gamers for roles spanning over 30 years. She’s responsible for bringing to life character’s like, Bastila Shan, Commander Shepard, Naomi Hunter and Samus. Now, we can add Rivet from Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart to her illustrious and ever-growing list.
From what we have seen so far, Rivet will act as the games second protagonist. On the PlayStation Blog, she’s described as a resistance fighter, who’s thrown into a constant struggle against Emperor Nefarious. Within the gameplay trailer, we see Rivet exploring her dimension alongside Clank, strafing, grinding on rails and running along walls. All of this topped off with an absolute exquisite and versatile arsenal at her disposal.
All in all, the game looks like a absolute visual treat and one of the premier titles releasing on PS5. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart releases exclusively on PS5 on June 11th, 2021.
