Sony has just announced, State of Play will make it’s 2021 debut on February 25th!

On the PlayStation Blog, Sid Shuman gives us the break down. We can expect new updates and deep dives on 10 games slated for both the PlayStation 4 and 5 console. This will include both newly announced titles and existing titles revealed at the June showcase. Sid makes mention this will mix both 3rd party and indie titles coming to the platform but, there’s no mention of 1st party titles.

State of Play Announced for this Thursday

Which, I’m not too sure if that’s me reading too much into the blogpost but, fingers crossed we get to see more Returnal or Ratchet. More than likely, I think we can expect to receive deep dives on titles like Kena Bridge of Spirits and Stray, with the former still slated for Q1 2021.

Lastly, this week’s State of Play will run for 30 minutes. So, please don’t go expecting this to mirror the June or September showcase. If anything, I’d probably expect this showing to be in line with the State of Play last August. Where Hitman 3 VR was initially announced to release alongside the game.

Nonetheless, seeing new games and updates on existing titles, sounds more than exciting!
