We’ve now learned, former designer at, The Initiative, Drew Murray, has rejoined Insomniac Games. Once, a longtime member of Insomniac since Resistance, has now rejoined the team as a Principal Designer.
Insomniac Games Just Got Itself a New Designer
Drew announced the news on Twitter, stating he’s “excited to be rejoining many friends and former colleagues.”
Drew’s been an integral part of the history of the studio. Starting in 2005 and departing in 2013. In the past, he helped shepherd some classic Insomniac titles, such as, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Sunset Overdrive. As you’d expect, it’s unclear as to what he’s working on now. With, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales released and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart looming, we can assume he’ll have a hand in Insomniac’s next big title.

Whether, the title is Spider-Man 2 or something else? We’ve yet to see. But, again, I think we can assume the former to be the case.
For reference, Drew spent two years at Microsoft’s Santa Monica based studio, The Initiative. Here, he worked on the franchise reboot of, Perfect Dark as a designer. However, earlier this year announced that he would depart the team for personal reasons.
Drew Murray has played a hand in some of Insomniac Games, most ambitious titles. So, whatever he works on next, especially at this point in his career, will be something to keep your eye on!
