Marvel’s Avengers by Crystal Dynamics aims to offer both a riveting, action-packed single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode for you and up to four of buddies to live that Avengers fantasy you’ve always had.
The Marvel Games NYCC 2019 Panel revealed that Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel would be the main catalyst that helps reunite the team years after the tragic events of A-Day in the single-player mode, helping giving us a clearer picture of what we will have to look forward to in May 2020.
So how long will the single-player last? The Brahs over at Comicbook.com asked this important question while at NYCC 2019 to Senior Brand Director Rich Briggs and he gave this answer:
I think it’ll depend on exactly how deep you want to go into it. So if you think about previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to be playing your way through the core story, it’s going to be in that area, 10 to 12 hours.
But if you want to see everything there is, and do all the side missions and everything else, you’re generally looking at 30 plus hours in the Tomb Raider games. So we’re not putting exact numbers on it just yet, but you can expect something comparable to what we’ve done in the past with that regard. And then, of course, you have the extended narrative and the extended game plan, more heroes post-launch.
Ultimately the biggest piece of the gaming pie in Marvel’s Avengers will be the ever growing multiplayer campaign that will add new characters and missions for ‘years’ to come. So for those who expected the SP mode to be longer might have been coming into the game with unrealistic expectations.
Marvel’s Avengers AIMS to please on May 15th, 2020. Will you answer the call to assemble and save the day?
