If you missed the news recently SIE WWS Sony San Diego Studio relocated to a brand new SWAGalicious studio they also received a swanky new logo heading into the start of the next-generation of PlayStation gaming come late 2020.
The house that built MLB The Show into a powerhouse franchise might also be eyeing their own creation on the next PlayStation! The job listing sleuths over at JackofAllControllers came across a Sony San Diego Studio listing on Linkedin that specially requires applicants to “build high-quality third-person combat animations, human ambient animation and creature animations, craft and edit conversations and cinematic sequences, and create dialog and facial expression animations.”
The listing also mentions vehicles and weapons, so unless MLB The Show is about to receive a radical 3rd person action-adventure mode next year, we could be looking at a major new title from the San Diego based team.
OR they could be assisting another SIE WWS team with a project. Who knows! These are exciting times here in the PlayStation Nation, as we all know while Sony Interactive Entertainment is all about their existing IPs, they do like to take creative chances on new ideas at the start of a new generation of gaming.
