New broke recently all incarnations of Sony’s Driveclub series would be delisted from the PlayStation Store on August 31st, 2019 along with server decommissionings on March 31st, 2020. While you’ll still be able to play the game offline, all online content will be null and void.
Most of us figured it had to do with how quickly Sony has been to close servers in cost-cutting moves, but according to Paul Rustchynsky, former Director of Drivelclub, the game is getting delisted due to licensing rights.
There you have it. I’m sure the lack of a dedicated playerbase didn’t help Sony’s decision not to renew any potential deals with car manufacturers.
