First shown at the PS4 reveal back in 2013, Media Molecule’s Dreams has had quite the development journey. Team in Guiford admitted the game’s engine had to be rebooted twice since development started, which Sony has fully supported. Many expected Dreams to release this year, but as August begins, it might not be happening.

A new job listing hints that the game might have been pushed until 2019 based on the description for Voice Over Designer job.

This is a contract position where you’ll be working with us full time on-site in our Guildford studio for 4 months (with potential to extend), starting in mid-September.

If the game has been pushed to 2019, you can’t blame them. There’s already an absolute ONSLAUGHT of major games releasing from now until the end of the year. Releasing Dreams would be a nightmare, as the game would surely be forgotten as titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man dominate the market this Fall.

PlayStation has done a fantastic job this generation of perfectly scheduling their releases, so we’re sure they have a perfect date in mind for Media Molecule‘s latest creative masterpiece.

We were lucky enough to go hands-on with Dreams at E3 2018 and let me tell you, it was something special! Read all about our impressions!
